During our DMACC class, we were tasked with designing two challenge coins for the Iowa Culinary Institute. One was to commemorate the Institute’s 40th year anniversary, while the other was an Excellence Coin to recognize outstanding students and donors. Each of us pitched our ideas individually to a panel, and after careful consideration, the client chose my design for the Excellence Coin.
I then collaborated independently with a coin manufacturer to bring the coin to life. This project provided a unique learning opportunity for me to explore a new medium in design and expand my skills in a real-world context.
